More than 550 creative works were sent by children from Russia and other countries of the world to the international children's and youth award "Ecology-everyone's business", which was established by Rosprirodnadzor in the spring of this year.

"We announced the launch of the project on April 15. It's only been a month and a half. And we received more than 550 works from 56 regions of Russia. And several dozen foreign works from Italy, Belgium, Estonia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. I think that in such a short period of time, this is a serious indicator that there are many active young people in Russia, children and teenagers who want to be involved in the environmental agenda and do something themselves to make our Planet cleaner and healthier. For example, we were sent a work in the nomination "young eco-blogger" from the village of Karagsok, Tomsk region, where a teenager in a clear form and in a simple language tells his peers about the Vasyugan marshes, talks about whether they are useful or not, whether the peat that is under them is dangerous or not. I am glad that such topics concern young people. This is what makes it possible to involve them not only in the environmental agenda, but also to foster a sense of environmental responsibility," commented Svetlana Radionova, head of Rosprirodnadzor.

The head of the department stressed that the award "Ecology-everyone's business" is designed to increase the environmental culture and awareness of the younger generation, as well as to involve schoolchildren and pupils of special institutions in the environmental agenda.

The main mission of the award "Ecology-everyone's business" is environmental education, popularization of the culture of responsible attitude to natural resources, increasing social activity among young people, including through "green" volunteering, as well as revealing the talents of children and adolescents. Our common goal is to make the Planet cleaner and healthier. Children play a key role here, they understand exactly what is good and what is bad. And they often set an example to adults, how to protect and preserve nature. And the works that the guys send clearly demonstrate this, especially cartoons. This nomination is very popular among the guys, " said Radionova.

"The country is undergoing a national "general cleaning". We have something to compare it with. And, for sure, you need to understand from childhood-clean is not where they clean. Taking care of the environment is a chance to walk around the planet longer. We admire the sensitivity of children to the problems of nature, they already understand that the reason for this is man. We are sent videos, drawings, poems – they, believe me, sometimes penetrate to tears. And we want all these horror stories, which are often a given, to remain only in their pictures. No sustainable development goals can be achieved while landfills are rotting outside the window, and the benefits justify cruelty to animals," Radionova said.

Recall that the international environmental Award for children and adolescents from 7 to 16 years old in April 2021 was established in April of this year by the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation.

Within the framework of the project "Ecology is everyone's business", children post creative works-videos on social networks (VKontakte, Instagram, Tik – Tok, YouTube), where they show the importance and necessity of caring for nature and the environment. These are drawings, videos, reports, challenges, organization and implementation of actions, flash mobs, projects and events of environmental orientation. All publications are marked with special hashtags: #ecologyiseveryone # ecologyiseveryone #rpndetyam #rpnforchildren.

Works are accepted in several categories: "Save the planet together", "My eco-family – my team", "Young eco-blogger", "Eco-trends", "Eco-school", "Eco-project", "Eco-drawing", "Eco-focus", "Eco-cartoon", "Eco-volunteer", "Young Eco-journalist", "Ecology in the world". To participate in the project, you must submit an application on the official website by October 1, 2021: https://экологияделокаждого.The ceremony of awarding the winners and laureates is scheduled for November 25 in Moscow.

The prize fund includes iPhones, iPads, laptops, an interactive whiteboard, a projector, cash certificates, a certificate for the implementation of an eco-project, and a family trip to the Black Sea. The contestants who won, including in the team categories, will go to the ecological shift in the All-Russian camp "Orlyonok".
