More than 650 works were received for the Rosprirodnadzor Children's Prize from the Irkutsk region

On December 21, the Irkutsk region hosted the ceremony of awarding prizes and valuable gifts to the winners of the II International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business".

Children and teenagers from the Irkutsk region sent 654 works to participate in the second season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business", which is 7 times more than the number of works sent in 2021. The total number of works in 2022 received from Russia and other countries of the world amounted to more than 45 thousand.

The jury of the Ecology – Everyone's Business award was headed by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation for Agriculture, Ecology and Real Estate Turnover Victoria Abramchenko. The judging panel also included: Head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova, Russian scientist, TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov, famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikas Safronov, Deputy Director General of the ANO Center for Arctic Initiatives Rustam Romanenkov, TV journalist Elena Letuchaya, two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov, director of the Soyuzmultfilm studio Boris Mashkovtsev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vedomosti newspaper Ivan Eremin, Russian football player Alexey Smertin. The general partner was the ANO "Center for Arctic Initiatives".

Valuable prizes and gifts were received by 11 schoolchildren from the Irkutsk region. Among the winners are Alexander Saker from the village of Kachug. Alexander told a fairy tale about Baikal in an animated format, for which he received first place in the nomination "Ecomultfilm" (age category 10-13 years).

Educational institutions of Irkutsk and Irkutsk region were also awarded with valuable gifts.

Alexander Viktorovich Vedernikov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region, Svetlana Mikhailovna Trofimova, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Irkutsk Region, representatives of the East Siberian Railway, representatives of the TSLATI Branch for the East Siberian Region came to congratulate the guys on their achievements.

We thank all the participants and prize-winners of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" and look forward to new works in 2023.
