The Central Chernozem Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor and Voronezh State University have signed an agreement on cooperation within the framework of the Ecology is Everyone's Business award.

According to the document, upon admission to the university, the winners and prize-winners of the eco-award will be awarded 5 points upon admission to the faculties of geography, geoecology and tourism. They will also be assisted in providing places for targeted training.

"The Ecology is Everyone's Business Award was organized by the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova to encourage talented and gifted people who devote their work to the topic of environmental conservation and protection. In general, the issues of environmental education, interaction with universities on the implementation of environmental measures are of particular interest to us, and Voronezh State University demonstrates high activity and involvement in this area of work," said Alexey Karyakin.

The head of the University, Dmitry Endovitsky, stressed that three faculties of Voronezh State University are the centers of environmental science and education in the region, where teams of scientists conduct research in the interests of environmental safety, these are the faculties of geography, geoecology and tourism; geological and biomedical. He also outlined the role of VSU in preserving green areas and biodiversity: – VSU is recognized as one of the most "environmentally friendly" universities in the world, according to the GreenMetric rating. Among Russian universities, Voronezh State University occupies one of the leading positions in terms of the area of green spaces.

VSU is one of the main universities in Central Russia, founded in 1918. Its structure includes 17 faculties, 10 educational research and production centers, and 16 research laboratories. This is the only university in Europe that owns its own unique reserve "Galichya Gora", and 11 museums have been created and successfully operate by the university staff.

The university is also a regular participant in national and world rankings. In recent years, the university has consistently been among the 600 best universities in the world.
