The Central Chernozem Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor and the Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies have signed an agreement on cooperation within the framework of the Ecology is Everyone's Business award.

According to the document, starting next year, laureates, winners and prize-winners of the eco-award will be awarded an additional 5 points upon admission to the university.

The Head of the Department Alexey Karyakin noted the contribution of the university to the promotion and development of eco-tourism in the region and thanked for the active participation of teachers and students of the university in the eco-award.

So, last year, Alexander Melnikov, a student of the Faculty of Ecology and Chemical Technology at VSUIT, won the prize in the nomination "Eco-education" with his educational project "Native Environment", where schoolchildren could improve their environmental culture through games and master classes. 529 people from three districts of the Voronezh Region became participants in the project.

As the acting rector of VSUIT Nikolay Repnikov noted, the university trains specialists for the fastest growing sector of the economy in the Central Federal District. It trains future professionals for the food and chemical industry, specialists in bioengineering and bioinformatics.

The International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" offers its participants the opportunity to enroll in the best universities in the country. The idea of Rosprirodnadzor was supported by more than 100 leading higher educational institutions of the country.
