In the Department of Rosprirodnadzor for the Rostov region and the Republic of Kalmykia, the participants of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" were awarded.

This year, seven students from the Rostov region and one from the Republic of Kalmykia became winners and prize-winners. The most active schools were also noted, which became the leaders of the region in terms of the number of applications submitted.

According to the head of the Service Svetlana Radionova, creative nominations were very popular among the children. The children came up with rap, sang songs, composed their own poems and created dances, and many of the works were done at a high level.

There were especially many applications in the nomination "Ecomultfilm", where the participants revealed the most important environmental problems in an animated performance.

At the beginning of the event, Alexey Kuzmin, the head of the Rosprirodnadzor Department, addressed the participants of the award with a welcoming speech, thanked the participants of the award for their caring attitude to environmental issues.

Alexey Kuzmin also told the teenagers about the activities of the service: how inspections of enterprises are carried out, what inspectors pay attention to during control and supervisory measures, why there are standards for emissions and discharges of pollutants, what nature users are by types of negative impact on the environment, and much more.

The chairman of the jury of the award "Ecology is everyone's business" is Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko. The judging panel includes the head of Rosprirodnadzor Svetlana Radionova, TV presenter and scientist Nikolai Drozdov, famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikas Safronov, TV journalist Elena Letuchaya, two-time Olympic champion Vyacheslav Fetisov, director of the Soyuzmultfilm studio Boris Mashkovtsev, founder and manager of famous Russian media (FederalPress, Vedomosti) Ivan Eremin, legendary Russian football player Alexey Smertin, Deputy Director General of the ANO Center for Arctic Initiatives Rustam Romanenkov.

The Award of the second season received 45.5 thousand works from 89 regions of the Russian Federation and 33 countries of the near and far abroad, in particular, from China, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Abkhazia, South Korea and other states.

"Ecology is everyone's business" is the Rosprirodnadzor award for interesting, non–standard, creative ideas, initiatives, outstanding projects dedicated to environmental conservation, respect for nature, environmental education and popularization of eco–culture among young people.

The International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's Business" was established by Rosprirodnadzor in March 2021 to increase the environmental awareness of young people and involve children and adolescents in the environmental agenda.
